Aside from a creative eye behind the lens, most of my skills actually lie in computers. Although I have used graphic design programs such as Photoshop for almost twelve years, I have only been taking photos for seven years. My training began with nothing more than a simple Nikon L2, a point-and-shoot I had purchased in high school for fun photos. Seeing a small amount of talent in the photos I had taken, I pursued it and eventually ended up working closely with Adobe Lightroom as a fun hobby. After upgrading to a Canon Rebel XTi I discovered a deeper passion when learning to use light and truly discover my surroundings. After two years of continued practice, reasearch and self promotion I have seen my work blossom from a small hobby to something I feel proud of and wish to share with others. I now use a Canon 7D with a variety of lenses and am pursuing a career as a traveling photographer.

In the future I hope to study for my bachelor's degree in photography at The Art Institute of Chicago and eventually continue my education at the Brooks Institute School of Photography in California. I hope to specialize in travel, nature, and perhaps architectural photography.

I have just obtained my Web Development Certificate at Madison College, and plan to begin my education in photography with an associate's degree there in Fall 2010. I am 22 years old and live in Madison, Wisconsin.
